Groups

With groups you can categorize servers and workstations into groups and apply similar configuration options (filters, monitored services) to them. Groups are particularly useful for medium- and large-sized companies.

You can group the following features using groups:

1.Filters: See Groups: Local, Global & Group Filters for more information on how to use groups with event log filters
2.System Health: Also see Blocking Inheritance for information on how to exclude indivdual computers from group settings
3.Tracking

Adding Groups

You can add a new group by right-clicking the "Groups" container or by right-clicking any existing group container.

Deleting Groups

You can delete a group by right-clicking the group container and selecting "Delete". All information, including system health settings and filters will be permanently removed as soon as you save the configuration.

Renaming Groups

You can rename a group by right-clicking the group container and selecting "Rename" or by selecting the group and pressing the F2 button on your keyboard.

Please not that you will loose all customized system health settings that you configured using the Blocking Inheritance feature the first time you will use remote update to push the configuration out to the servers in the renamed group.
