To enable / disable a target The Enabled checkbox, present in all targets, indicates if this target is active (enabled) or not. This feature is convenient if you make use of the "apply to all targets" feature in filters. Rather than modify multiple filters, you can simply de-activate or re-activate filters by clearing or checking the checkbox.
To add a new target
You will then be able to type a name for the new target and press Enter. You will then choose a target by selecting one of the available tabs
to configure the target. Please note that the target type cannot be changed once the target has been created.
To edit a target.
The target details will then be loaded into the right pane and the active target object in the left pane will become bold. Please note that you cannot change the target type of existing targets.
To delete a target
The target will then be deleted. If one or more filters reference the target that was deleted then this target will be removed from the filter's target list. A filter will be reconfigured to use all targets if the deleted target was the only target of that filter.
Finding filters referencing a target You can view a list of all filters that are either directly or indirectly (a filter configured to notify all targets) referencing a target. Right-click the target in question and select "Show Filters" -> "(Directly) Referencing this target"
To rename a target
You will then be able to type a new name for the target.
To copy & paste a target 1. Click the target object in the left pane and make sure that it is selected 2. Click the copy symbol in the toolbar or choose Copy from the Edit menu 3. Click the paste symbol in the toolbar or choose Paste from the Edit menu
If a target object with the same name already exists then Copy of will be prepended to the name. Please note that target objects cannot be cut and pasted.
To change the target order You can change the target order by dragging and dropping targets to a different position under the notifications container. |
