System Health

Starting with version 2.30 EventSentry will help you maintain the system health of servers and workstations by monitoring certain parts of the Operating System. Currently services can be monitored, many more features are planned for the near future.

Service Monitoring

Detects whether services and drivers are added, removed, or if their status changed. This feature also allows you to make sure that services and drivers set to start automatically with the system are really running (more info).

Launching 3rd Party Applications

Launches command-line applications and optionally logs their output to the event log, analyzing the %ERRORLEVEL% (more info).

Event Log Backup

Backs up and/or clears event logs at specified times. Optionally detects (Windows 2000 and higher only) if an event log is full (more info).

Process Memory Monitoring

Monitors the memory consumption of processes to determine whether one or more processes are leaking memory (more info).

Disk Space Monitoring

Monitors the available disk space, including dynamic trend analysis to determine unusual low disk space patterns. Trend history can be written to an ODBC database (more info).

Autorun Monitoring

Autorun monitoring monitors certain parts of the registry and/or file system to determine when applications are install/uninstalled and when applications (including spyware, adware etc.) register themselves in registry keys for automatic startup.
